Causes of illness and aging

Hi everyone!

Have you ever wondered why we age and fall sick? Why we actually get illness and diseases? Why our face starts to form wrinkles and sag?

These are actually due to free radicals. Free radicals exist in our body but in low amount and plays an important role in many normal cellular processes. However, external factors may cause an increase in free radicals production. At high concentrations, they can be hazardous to the body and damage all major components of cells, including DNA, proteins, and cell membranes. The damage to cells caused by free radicals, especially the damage to DNA, may play a role in the development of cancer and other health conditions.*

Accordingly to Dr. Lester Packer (the world’s leading researcher in antioxidant) mentioned in his book that “free radicals are casual factors in nearly every known disease…” and also “a major culprit in the aging process itself”.

In my next post, i will talk more about factors that results in more free radical productions. Stay Tuned!

Cheers,

Alces
